Majority Minors 2025
Mid-Year Impact Report

Majority Minors Overview

Majority Minors is a civic engagement program that equips youth with essential leadership skills and a strong sense of civic responsibility through immersive, hands-on experiences. In June 2025, we successfully launched our pilot summer camp, engaging young participants in meaningful, community-centered activities. Building on that momentum, we are now expanding into year-round programming delivered in trusted local community spaces.

With your support, we can scale our impact, reach more youth from underserved communities, and cultivate the next generation of engaged, empowered leaders

Impact

Since our pilot launch in June 2025:

  • Engaged 10 youth in our first week-long summer camp

  • Initiated 2 civic immersive activities:

    • Mayor for the Day/Voter Party

  • Formed new community partnerships with local institutions and civic organizations

  • Impacted hundreds of families through outreach and programming

  • Empowered 10 youth to share their ideas for change with local leaders

  • Inspired over 20 youth to begin or continue leading in their respective communities

Participants Feedback:

“I learned it’s important to help out in my community.”
— Amara, age 8, camp participant

“My daughter had so much fun and learnt a lot during camp. She still talks about it and looks forward to future Majority Minors camps and activities.”

“This was fun and different. I didn’t know kids could do so much.”
— Youth, age 10, Voter Party participant

What Your Support Made Possible

Thanks to your generosity, we were able to:

  • Provide materials for hands-on learning activities, including ballot boxes, role-play kits, and journals

  • Offer healthy snacks and essential supplies during our pilot camp

  • Rent a community space to support learning focused on the unhoused population, the theme of our service learning project

  • Create a safe, welcoming environment for youth while school was out, especially for those who may not have had a place to go

  • Offer free summer programming to underserved youth

  • Take field trips that allowed participants to apply what they learned in real-time, deepening their understanding through real-world experiences

Where We're Headed

With your continued support, we plan to:

  • Offer free programming every month in 5+ local organizations and schools

  • Develop a podcast led and developed by youth

  • Recruit and train youth ambassadors for community events

  • Grow our reach and impact in preparation for Summer 2026 camps

  • Launch a school clothes drive in late August
