FAQ

  1. What is the purpose of this program? The program is designed to teach elementary-aged children about civic engagement, leadership, and community service in a fun, hands-on way. Our goal is to inspire young minds to be confident, curious, and committed to making positive change in their communities.

  2. Who can participate in the program? This program is open to children ages 8–11 who are curious, energetic, and interested in learning how to make a difference in the world around them. Your child MUST be between the ages of 8 - 11 by the program start date. 

  3. When and where will the program take place? The program will run between 1 - 2 weeks during the summer. Specific dates and location details will be shared upon registration or interest sign-up.

  4. What does a typical day look like? Each day includes interactive workshops, team activities, guest speakers, games, and field trips, all designed to keep kids engaged while learning about leadership, activism, and their role in the community.

  5.  Is this a paid program? Yes, this is a paid program. The cost is a $25 registration fee and $250 for the program. Fees cover materials, snacks, transportation for field trips, and more. Scholarships MAY be available for qualifying families. 

  6. Will food be provided? All students should bring lunch daily. We will provide healthy snacks and water. Please let us know about any food allergies or dietary restrictions during registration. 

  7. Who will be working with the children? Our team includes experienced leaders, community organizers, and youth mentors who are passionate about empowering the next generation of leaders. All staff go through an extensive background check, CPR & First aid, and other child safety training. 

  8. What should my child bring to the program? Just a water bottle, lunch, comfortable clothes, a program t-shirt, and a curious mind! We'll provide all materials needed for activities.

  9. How do I register my child? Registration can be completed online through our website. Space is limited, so early registration is encouraged.

  10. Is there a final presentation or event for parents? Yes! At the end of the program, participants will present their community impact project to family, friends, and community members. It’s a celebration of their ideas, effort, and growth.

  11. Are you able to accept special needs students? Being that this is a new program, at this time, we are not equipped to provide the level of support required for children with special needs. We truly value inclusivity and hope to expand our resources in the future to better accommodate students with special needs.
